Old Vines Monastrell

Flor del Montgó Old Vines Monastrell is a careful selection of 130 small parcels from the winery´s more than 2600 varied vineyards. The vineyards are located in two sections: Campo Arriba in the north where vineyards are located on high plateaus 700-800 meters above sea level. Campo Abajo lies to the south at an altitude of 450-600 meters. The temperatures in Campo Abajo are, on average, 4ºC warmer than Campo Arriba. Rainfall throughout the region is less than 200mm per year, naturally limiting yields to less than 2kg per vine. Well-drained, limestone-rich vineyards in both areas produce multilayered wines with intense color and compelling aromatics.
